David Baron is the interim Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and will be serving as the Medical Director for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at USC, working collaboratively with the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work running the project under the leadership of CEO Marv Southard.
Dr. Baron is also currently Chair of the Section on Medicine, Psychiatry and Primary Care for the World Psychiatric Association, and former Deputy Clinical Director of the National Institute of Mental Health, and former Chair of Psychiatry at the Foundation for Advanced Education in Sciences, Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. He has consulted with the military and numerous sports federations on ADHD, and the effects of mild repetitive concussion on mood and behavior. Dr. Baron has over 100 publications and has lectured extensively at scientific congresses worldwide for more than 30 years. He has won numerous teaching, research and mentorship awards nationally, and from international universities and government ministries.
