Debra Ludowe is a licensed clinical social worker and the clinical team lead for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at USC.
Prior to joining the team, Ludowe spent nine years with the Department of Veterans Affairs, which included opening the Laguna Hills VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. Her most recent experience was with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System where she worked in acute medicine, general outpatient psychiatry and the women’s mental health clinic specializing in military sexual trauma. Ludowe’s diverse experience includes specialty work with intensive outpatient substance abuse programs for women, court-ordered substance abuse treatments, home hospice and outdoor therapies.
Ludowe has extensive training in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-D, CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also facilitated VA groups on Mantram Repetition, a mindfulness tool to help calm the body and mind. Ludowe is a teacher in training with iRest Yoga Nidra. She received her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit.
